16 October - Legal Education in the Age of AI: How Can and Should Law Schools Respond?
In 2027, the School of Law launches its new Juris Doctor program. We are delighted to invite members of the legal profession, the academy, and students, to join us in celebrating the launch of a program designed to prepare law graduates for the realities of legal practice in a time of profound transition.
The keynote address will be delivered by the Honourable Justice Jeremy Kirk, Chair of the Legal Qualifications Committee of the Legal Profession Admission Board of NSW, followed by a panel discussion with representatives of the legal profession and members of the Faculty. Refreshments to follow.

26 - 27 October & 9 November 2026 – Kirby Cup High School Mooting Competition
The Kirby Cup brings high‑school teams from across the region to compete in a dynamic mooting competition designed by School of Law academics. Students argue complex legal problems, built teamwork skills, and experience the excitement of university‑level legal study. The event continues to be one of the School’s most impactful outreach initiatives.
