Welcome to the Western Sydney University School of Law. Western Sydney Law School excels in research, teaching and engaging with the community and is ranked in the top 3% of universities worldwide.  Notably, the university has been ranked as number 1 in the world for achieving gender equality in the sustainable development goals, and in the top 10 universities for working towards social inclusion.  We are very proud to have achieved this recognition as we are situated in Western Sydney, one of the most culturally diverse areas of Australia and with one of the largest Indigenous populations in Australia.  This richness informs our Law School’s scholarship, teaching and community engagement.

During your studies you will be challenged and stimulated as you learn about law and you will be able to connect with the reasons why you chose to study through engaging with the legal profession and thinking about how you can contribute to the community. We teach our students to think critically about the law, and equip them with the skills and knowledge they need to work in a fast changing, technology focused society.  You will learn about the importance of the rule of law, and what that means for upholding democracy.  Our students have the opportunity to study internationally, and to work in social justice agencies through our clinical program. Our academics engage in cutting edge research and many are international experts in their fields.  You will have the opportunity to learn from them and to participate in a range of opportunities including mooting and negotiation competitions.
