The Growing Agriculture Exceptional Merit Pathway is a project based program that acknowledges the diverse knowledge and skills base of the agricultural industry. Encompassing two school terms (Term 3 Year 11/ Term 1 Year 12), the Growing Agriculture program guides students in the completion of a series of online modules and practical fieldwork tasks. Students generate a major project and e-portfolio as evidence of their learning and achievement of key learning outcomes.
Students who successfully meet requirements of the assessment criteria receive an early, non-conditional offer to study the Bachelor of Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security degree at Western Sydney University upon completion of their Higher School Certificate.
Specialising in the development of career ready professionals, this degree epitomises 21st century teaching and learning through authentic and purposeful learning experiences that develop students' industry knowledge and professional portfolio.
Each year applications for Exceptional Merit Pathway open in April.
