Anatomy Facilities

Our Anatomy Facility includes three large teaching laboratories, a five place dissection room, and an embalming room. It also has a large storage capacity for dissected specimens to accommodate teaching needs. The two School of Health Sciences teaching laboratories have an open plan that facilitates multiple configurations, extensive bench space, an audiovisual and computer console with projector, and can accommodate 40 students.

The School of Health Sciences also has an extensive anatomical model collection, and a 3D scanner for reproduction of small anatomical specimens.

The School employs five full time research active anatomy academic staff and offers an array of anatomy units to students in both the clinical health science and medical science programs. Two full time technical officers with expertise in producing high quality prosections are employed to support the teaching needs of the School within the Anatomy Facility.
