Biography

Kasun Gunasekara is a Doctoral Researcher at Centre for Smart Modern Construction (c4SMC) at Western Sydney University. He is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor having over five years’ experience as a Project Quantity Surveyor at State Engineering Corporation of Sri Lanka who has handled a wide variety of construction projects. He has also been involved in several committees related to advancements in construction documentation and education. He has won the Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors (PAQS) – Iwata Foundation Essay Competition, among other notable achievements, within a short period since obtaining his Bachelor’s degree with a first class honours. With a sound academic background set through high achieving qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering and Construction Law, along with the work experience, he is well equipped to cater for the research requirements of smart and modern construction industry.
