On Friday 22 May 2026, the Inspiring Futures: Empowering the Teachers of Tomorrow Conference will bring together more than 800 pre-service teachers for a day of practical learning, inspiration and connection.

Hosted by the Western Sydney University School of Education, the event will feature workshops, expert speakers, and opportunities for students to engage with industry partners and education organisations across Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary settings

Conference Overview and purpose

Preparing the Teachers of Tomorrow

The 2026 Pre-Service Teacher Conference is a key professional learning event, recognised as part of student’s Professional Experience.

Led by the Partnerships and Engagement team at the Western Sydney University School of Education, the conference strengthens pre-service teacher’s knowledge, confidence and industry connections.

The program features practical workshops on early-career skills, job-readiness support, and networking with school leaders and education organisations. This event is made possible thanks to our industry partners, schools, early childhood services, education bodies, and community organisations whose time, expertise and support help prepare the next generation of teachers.
