Western at your Careers Event

Year 10, 11 and 12 Presentations

With a series of presentations tailored for Years 10, 11, and 12, you can inspire your students to see the benefit and opportunity that awaits them in higher education. Hear from current and former Western students and learn about scholarships, early entry, The Academy leadership program, alternative pathways to uni, campus life, the range of inspiring courses we offer and so much more.

Vice-Chancellor's Principals' Forums

Vice-Chancellor Barney Glover will be hosting a series of Principal forums to engage with the Principals of Schools from the Greater Western Sydney region to discuss matters that impact them most. Five forums will be held face-to-face and catered across a range of Western Sydney University venues from May through October.

Below is a list of many of the programs that Western Sydney University provides schools and students. Ranging from in School visits, 3D printing facilities, venue hire or sporting facilities, there is something on offer at Western for you.

Programs

 

Operated out of our Paramatta South and Kingswood campuses, MakerSpace is an ideas hub where you can bring your ideas to life. Offered by the School of Computing, Engineering & Mathematics, MakerSpace provides equipment, advice and expertise to make your idea a reality. With a 3D Printing Hub and Fab Lab offering 3D printing services in Photopolymer and Fused Deposition Machines, as well as woodwork and metalwork shops, laser cutting, CNC routers and fabricaton equipment, our MakerSpace is set to inspire and fuel your imagination. Staff familiar and trained in the equipment are available to offer advice and assistance your project.

At Western we know the power of education to change lives. We also know learning never stops. With our Education Knowledge Network we offer a wide range of professional learning opportunities designed to bring educational leaders, educators and teachers together to network, learn, and share their wisdom and experience. Learning opportunities are available across our network of campuses as well as online.

Western Sydney University offers over 400 different spaces including function centres, meeting rooms, lecture theatres and classrooms that can be booked. Schools can hire sporting facilities on the University's campuses and gain access to sports programs specifically designed for school groups. Facilities include swimming pools, ovals, an indoor sports hall, athletics track and gym. Schools in Western Sydney are eligible for a discount rate on facilities hire.
