Value

• $5,000 in flexible financial support for the scholar's final year of study.
• $15,000 for leadership development: A nine month technology leadership experience including opportunities to learn from researchers, innovators and industry leaders
• Access to the 2027 Westpac Scholars Summit and lifelong membership of the W100 Scholars Network, a diverse community of scholars from across disciplines, sectors and career stages.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Citizenship:

• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

Program/s:

• Be studying a STEM discipline

Enrolment:

• Be enrolled full-time in their first undergraduate degree.
• Be in their 3rd, 4th or Honours year in 2027.

Additional:

• Have completed secondary education (Year 12 or equivalent) between 1 January 2021 and 31 December 2024.

• Have achieved, or be on track to achieve, approximately a Distinction average

• Demonstrate commitment to a technology-related career aligned with one of the Westpac Scholars Trust impact areas:

  • Sustainable Futures
  • Asia-Pacific Leadership

• Demonstrate leadership potential and commitment to making a positive contribution to Australia's future.

• Be available to participate in all required program activities.

• Provide an academic reference.

Westpac Scholars

Supporting undergraduate students with a passion to bring about change through cutting-edge technology, the Westpac Tech Futures Scholarship aims to foster generations of innovators.

Westpac Tech Futures scholars will help strengthen Australia's pool of local talent and build a cohort of technology-literate future leaders.

Scholarship recipients become members of the Westpac Scholars Alumni program and gain access to ongoing networking, learning and development opportunities.
