Sydney Zoo

Sydney Zoo was founded in 2015 with the aim of creating amazing experiences for the local and international community by introducing them to a range of animal species from all over the world while also educating them on animal welfare and conservation. Sydney Zoo was founded in 2015 with the aim of creating amazing experiences for the local and international community by introducing them to a range of animal species from all over the world while also educating them on animal welfare and conservation.

Sydney Zoo is the sponsor of three scholarships as part of its partnership with Western Sydney University, with two scholarships will be awarded to Indigenous students studying in a field associated with the zoo.

Application and Selection Process

Applicants must provide a statement supporting their application indicating how they believe receiving the scholarship will assist them with their studies and future careers. This statement should give a sufficient explanation of the applicant's background and current circumstances to enable the University to judge their eligibility, need and merit.

Successful applicants will be selected based on their written application, academic potential, ability to meet the criteria, and, where appropriate, performance in an interview before a selection panel.
