Scenic World

Scenic World is a third-generation, family-owned business, and Australia’s most visited privately owned tourist attraction. Based in Katoomba in the Blue Mountains, it provides more than a million annual visitors with a unique opportunity to explore the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains landscape via unique rides including the Scenic Railway, Skyway, Cableway and access to the 2.4 kilometre Walkway through ancient rainforest. Scenic World is the second largest employer in the Blue Mountains, employing more than 200 people.

The attraction’s philanthropic program, Scenic World Shared, aims to increase opportunities for young people in the Blue Mountains, who represent more than 1,000 students enrolling at Western Sydney University each year. Scenic World’s involvement in the community also includes advancing and championing environmental conservation and protection in the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area.

Scenic World’s Opportunity Scholarships are an extension of its community priorities – advancing young people from the Blue Mountains and giving them an opportunity to excel in two leading sectors and career paths: environment and tourism.
