Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Citizenship:

• Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or eligible New Zealand Citizen** _{** Eligible New Zealand Citizen includes students who meet the criteria for HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP. Further details available here: Changes to fees for New Zealand Citizens | Western Sydney University}

Enrolment:

• new student

Program/s:

• any undergraduate degree at Western Sydney University, Foundation Studies, Diploma or Associate Degree at The College

Additional:

• be an active participant in the PATHE program throughout high school, including attending opportunities provided by the program

• Have received an offer or have applied to study at Western Sydney University;

• Demonstrate academic achievement through one of the following:

  • a minimum ATAR of 70; or
  • received a True Reward offer to course with a minimum ATAR of 70 (in previous year).

• Completed a minimum of 50 hours community service over 24 months preceding application (documentation to be provided and will be verified by the Scholarship panel)

PATHE

PATHE strives to develop aspirations towards further education & training in Pacific communities.

PATHE promotes options for Pasifika people to develop and gain new skills and new knowledge, leading to greater opportunities across life.

Established in 2012, and facilitated by the Office of Widening Participation and the School of Social Sciences and Psychology, PATHE operates across three key components: student support, outreach activities and innovative projects.

Application and Selection Process

Applicants must provide a statement supporting their application indicating how they believe receiving the scholarship will assist them with their studies and future careers. This statement should give a sufficient explanation of the applicant's background and current circumstances to enable the University to judge their eligibility, need and merit.

Successful applicants will be selected based on their written application, academic potential, ability to meet the criteria, and, where appropriate, performance in an interview before a selection panel.

Continuing Eligibility Criteria

• Recipients must remain enrolled at Western.
• Recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 4.
