Present

Proposal deadlines have closed. Presenter acceptances have been released.

For any current university undergraduate and honours student, nationally or internationally, who wants to be heard and seen at the S4S Conference this is for you. Call for student presentations and posters for the national HOPE: Students for Sustainability Conference are now closed. Below are the successful students that will present at this years conference.

In your presentation you must address one or more of the conference streams:

  • Ethics
  • Food
  • Environment

S4S is a professionally run conference for students who want to be heard. Anyone can attend the conference, however only oral presentations and poster presentations are open to current undergraduate and honours students who have a passion to make a change for the future. Presenting professional at a conference is great for your CV once you graduate and gives your professional skills in effective communication outside the classroom. Presentations are non-assessment based giving you that real world experience employers look for. You must demonstrate how it relates to the theme of 'HOPE for the future', and incorporates sustainability, design and/or innovation.

Presentations will be judged by a panel for inclusion. If successful you will be notified by email around 10 July 2015. Please attach your proposal (DOCX, 72.69 KB) (opens in a new window) to your presenters online form submission. If you are interested in presenting (excludes poster presentations) you may be eligible for conference assistance of up to $500. This financial assistance will help cover on campus accommodation and domestic air fares, and your conference fee (full registration) will be waived.

To submit a presentation paper or poster please fill out the short Present at S4S form and attach the proposal (DOCX, 72.69 KB) (opens in a new window) outline.

As part of the S4S conference UWS will be holding a series free webinar program to help all new student presenters. This webinar will provide assistance, guidance and support to help with those presentation jitters. To register your interest please email sustainability@westernsydney.edu.au
