Professor Kevin Dunn, Dean of the School of Social Sciences and Psychology, in partnership with the Islamic Sciences, and Research Academy of Australia, has been awarded a UWS Research Partnerships grant to determine a sense of the broader Muslim community attitudes and experiences.

Dr Anthony Dillon from the Centre for Educational Research has been awarded an Indigenous Australian Research Fellowship to explore issues around using medication for children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and bias in assessing Indigenous children displaying ADHD behaviours. This research is funded by the Australian Research Council Discovery Indigenous scheme.

Associate Professor Caroline Smith from the Centre for Complementary Medicine Research, with Associate Professors Sheryl de Lacey and Julie Ratcliffe from Flinders University and Professor Michael Chapman from the UNSW have received NHMRC funding to investigate if acupuncture can improve the rate of live births for women undergoing In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF).
