The release of the latest Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) has seen Western Sydney University achieve its best ever research evaluation since the ERA assessments began.

Eleven of the University's research disciplines were rated at ERA level 5 in the 2015 results, meaning they ranked "well above world standard" – the highest ranking possible.  This is more than triple the amount of level 5 ratings the University achieved in the last ERA round in 2012.

It means that 80 per cent of Western Sydney University's research is now ranked world standard or above – an outstanding result.
