Description

Join us for a webinar to discuss our recent Special Issue which sheds light on how legislation, domestic and international litigation, market-based mechanisms, and private sector initiatives may contribute to protecting the Amazon. This will be also an opportunity to discuss the outcomes of COP-26 that may be relevant to the Amazon.

The Special Issue on ‘The Amazon Rainforest’ was prepared through a collaboration of academics from around the world and published by the Review of European, Comparative and International Environmental Law (RECIEL).

The webinar is organised by Western Sydney University's School of Law in collaboration with Griffith University’s Tropical Primary Forest and Climate project (link below), Cardiff Law & Politics School and Columbia Law School.
