Macquarie Fields Masterchef

"Being a part of this group has brought together a rich multiculturally diverse community. Through our shared passion for cooking and sustainability through our vegetable garden and orchard, we have achieved great things, such as participation in community events, creating a cookbook and the gaining of invaluable skills and friendships.

The children are learning sustainability and inclusion and are trying new things and foods every week. Our parents are learning cross cultural cooking and gardening skills and have a shared sense of purpose. We hope that these positive social values cross over into the wider community.

Into the future we hope to continue and grow and nurture our gardens and continue our positive role in the wider community, through our participation in future community events, publication of our cookbook and the sharing of our resources."
