Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Program/s:

  • STEM-related undergraduate degree excluding Bachelor of Medical Science

Additional:

  • Preference for students from the Greater Western Sydney area
  • Preference will be given to achieving gender balance in the awarding of scholarships
  • Applicants must have completed the HSC in the 3 years preceding their application
  • Demonstrate financial or other hardship as assessed by the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC)

Application and Selection Process

Applications are to be submitted through the Western Sydney University scholarship form.

Applicants must provide a statement supporting their application indicating how they believe receiving the scholarship will assist them with their studies and future careers. This statement should give a sufficient explanation of the applicant's background and current circumstances to enable the University to judge their eligibility, need and merit.

Successful applicants will be selected based on their written application, academic potential, ability to meet the criteria, and, where appropriate, performance in an interview before a selection panel.
