Liz Hallahan

‘With her kind eyes, a high wattage smile and diligent listening skills, she’s like a moving sunbeam, lighting up everywhere she goes’

A loving daughter, mother and wife, and a loyal friend, Liz Hallahan was many things to many people.
A gifted and passionate Registered Nurse, her patients (many with chronic disease) came to realise very quickly Liz would walk with them every step of the way as they journeyed through life dealing with chronic disease.

Diabetes, a disease that was well represented in her cohort of patients, took her on a journey of education and close collaboration with Diabetic Educators. She and her patients relied heavily on the Diabetic Educator that serviced our area.
Liz was cognisant of the significant role, education and disease management played in the outcome of her patients. Guiding them along the journey gave them confidence and ultimately better health outcomes.
Liz made a difference in all her patients, friends and family’s lives by listening, applying her vast knowledge and exercising her wonderful gift of humanity.

This scholarship is being offered to honour Liz in the hope that you too, make a positive difference in your patients’ lives, through the education and support of your patients.
