$2,500 for two years


New or continuing students


Enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Information and Communications Technology (Health Information Management)


Applicants must:

  • be Australian citizens or permanent residents
  • enrolled or commencing study full-time in any year of the Bachelor of Information and Communications Technology (Health Information Management) at Western Sydney University


Health Information Management Association has been serving the health information profession since 1949. Health Information Management Association fosters leadership in health information best practice to support quality healthcare. It supports an internationally recognised research journal, a practice management journal, national branches, professional development, education services, entry-level accreditation of university health information management courses, positioning and advocacy and national annual conferences.

Health Information Management Association NSW Branch conducts professional development events and is funding the scholarship.

Application and Selection Process

Applicants must provide a statement in support of their application indicating how they believe the receipt of the scholarship will assist them with their studies and in their future career. This statement should give a sufficient explanation of the applicant's background and current circumstances to enable the University to judge their eligibility, need and merit.

Successful applicants will be selected based on their written application, academic potential, their ability to meet the criteria and, where appropriate, performance in an interview before a selection panel.
