Staff scholarships reflect the University’s commitment to attract, retain, reward and recognise talented staff, and to build a leadership capability and expertise.

The Vice-Chancellor's Professional Development Scholarships are available to all academic and professional staff who have completed at least 12 months of continuous service and meet the relevant criteria.

Up to 32 Scholarships, each capped at $3,000, are awarded to successful applicants to attend conferences, short courses, seminars, or workshops relevant to the applicant's career development plan. The distribution is as follows:

  • Up to 12 scholarships for Academic staff.
  • Up to 12 scholarships for Professional staff.
  • Up to six scholarships for Casual and Adjunct Academic staff.
  • Up to two scholarships for Indigenous staff.
