A History of Nursing at Hawkesbury
The School of Nursing and Midwifery is pleased to offer a limited printed edition of the History of Nursing at Hawkesbury for a small donation of $15.00. All purchase funds will be donated to the School of Nursing and Midwifery Student Prize fund which supports students who demonstrate outstanding academic or clinical performance. Orders will be processed within approximately 14 business days (subject to Australia Post) and posted to the mailing address provided.

Dementia Collaborative Research Centres Grant
View Source Professor Deborah Parker, in conjunction with Professor Kate Stevens (lead investigator) from the MARCs Institute and Ms Janice Stokes from Sydney West Baptist Care, has been awarded one of 26 collaborative research grants by the Dementia Collaborative Research Centres (DCRC).
Ending the complications
Most of us have needed a 'drip' during a stay in hospital. Worldwide, around 50% of patients admitted to hospitals require the insertion of a peripheral intravenous catheter (PIVC)—the technical name for the 'drip'—to receive IV fluids, medications or blood as part of a normal procedure.
Targeting Oral Health To Vulnerable Mothers
Women are at greater risk of poor oral health during pregnancy due to hormonal variations, changes to their diet, and morning sickness. This heightened risk may have serious consequences for the baby, with evidence suggesting that poor oral health during pregnancy may lead to increased pre-term births and lower birth weights—particularly for women from lower socio economic backgrounds.
