NICM Health Research Institute scoops prestigious research leader title yet again
NICM HRI has again been named as Australia’s top institution for complementary and traditional medicine The Australian’s 2025 Research magazine.
The magazine presents a "comprehensive picture of Australia’s best research" and names the top performers in each of 250 fields across eight disciplines.
Assessing universities based on the number of citations their researchers have received in top academic journals over the past five years, NICM HRI researchers continue to dominate in this space in Australia.
Federal Education Minister Jason Clare celebrated Australia’s strong research output, noting that the country produces over 3% of the world's research.
"Research is critical to Australia’s economic growth and productivity. It’s a vital part of the Australian government’s plan for a Future Made in Australia," he wrote for The Australian.
"Congratulations to every researcher, scientist and institution featured in this year’s publication. Each is an example of Australian research excellence, across some 250 individual fields of research."
