Marcus Blackmore

Marcus Blackmore was born in Queensland in 1945, received his high school education at Church of England Grammar School in Brisbane, and later gained a Naturopathic Diploma from the NSW College of Naturopathic Sciences. He served from 1969-1971 in the Australian Army with service in Vietnam. Marcus is also a member of Harvard Business School Alumni. His recreational interests are yacht racing and aviation – he previously flew his private helicopter.

As the son of Blackmores company founder, Maurice Blackmore, he has been active in the Complementary Medicine industry since joining Blackmores at just 18 years old, serving on the Board since 1973, including as Executive Chairman until 2017 and Executive Director until 2020. The Blackmores Group is an ASX 200 company with a house of five brands sold in 12 markets.

Since stepping down as Executive Director of Blackmores, Marcus is dedicated to the philanthropic endeavours of the Blackmore Foundation. The Blackmore Foundation was established in 2006 by Marcus and Caroline Blackmore with the intention of developing a fund for charitable purposes from which distributions can be made to support a wide range of charitable endeavours in Australia.
