Adjunct Professor Danforn Lim graduated from UNSW with an MBBS and PhD in Medicine. He is a medical practitioner (with general and specialist registrations), registered Chinese medicine practitioner, university clinical research academician and a well-known media personality in the Chinese community in Sydney, NSW. Adjunct Professor Lim founded the Specialist Medical Services Group and is currently the company's Executive Vice President, which leads and manages several primary and secondary care medical services/centres in Sydney. Prof Lim has acted as the spokesperson for many community health projects since 2009. Prof Lim is also frequently sought by different media to speak on various health topics. In 2021, Australian Doctors Magazine awarded Prof Lim as one of the country's four COVID pandemic Heroes of General Practice for his outstanding work for the local community during the COVID pandemic. In 2022, he was also awarded the NSW Health Manager Leadership Recognition Award by the ACHSM.
