Sinclair appointed to new AMCA Board

Congratulations to Justin Sinclair for his appointment to the Australian Medicinal Cannabis Association (AMCA) Board. Renowned globally for his expertise in the field of medicinal cannabis, he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Board of Directors.

Spanning close to 20 years in the field of medicinal cannabis, and across several scientific disciplines, including botany, ethnopharmacology and phytochemistry, Mr Sinclair says this new external role will use his scientific expertise to help strengthen the development of the Australian industry and help achieve AMCA’s key objectives and focus.

“Lucy Haslam, Chair of the Board, and the AMCA team have done a great job in attracting many of the pioneers of the Australian medicinal cannabis space, with some examples being emergency physician Associate Professor David Caldicott and Dr Teresa Nicoletti, a PhD-qualified scientist and lawyer who has spent a great deal of time assisting patients gain legal access. The calibre of the board is exceptional, and I am delighted to be a part of a team who shares a common vision for both industry and patients,” said Mr Sinclair.

“We will be working together to help achieve AMCA’s key focus of affordable patient access to high-quality medicinal cannabis and bringing together a broad mix of stakeholders.”

The Australian Medicinal Cannabis Association is a registered not-for-profit association formed to serve the interests of a broad variety of organisations and individuals across the Australian medicinal cannabis sector.

Mr Sinclair commenced his board role in July and acts in a pro bono capacity.
