NICM Symposium: Integrative Medicine for Neurocognition and Dementia

Last week NICM hosted the Integrative Medicine for Neurocognition and Dementia Symposium at the Park Royal Hotel, in Sydney. Bringing together leading researchers, clinicians and industry groups from Australia and China, over 130 attendees heard from 16 highly respected speakers from Australia and China, who discussed key challenges and issues relating to integrative medicine research and integrative care for dementia and cognitive problems and related mental health issues.

Professor John McCallum, director of NHMRC National Institute of Dementia Research introduced the research agenda and programme of the newly established institute. Two NHMRC-ARC Dementia Development Fellows, beneficiaries of the new programme also presented their research findings, in addition to Professors Henry Brodaty, Perminder Sachdev and Andrew Scholey presented exciting insights from their work over recent years.
