NICM experts in demand

Congratulations to Associate Professor O’Brien and Dr Steiner on their external appointments below:

• Dr Genevieve Steiner, a member of the neurodegenerative research team at NICM has been selected as one of six NHMRC-ARC Dementia Research Fellows from across Australia as part of a newly created working group established late 2018 – the Accelerator group – within the NHMRC National Institute for Dementia Research (NNIDR). The group aims to provide dementia research capacity building and career support to NNIDR’s cohort of Development Fellows.

• NICM Adjunct Fellow, Associate Professor Dr Kylie O’Brien, has been appointed to the TGA’s Advisory Committee on Complementary Medicines (ACCM) to advise on the safety, efficacy and manufacturing quality of complementary medicines in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods.
