Jacka Foundation Senior Research Fellow appointed

NICM is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Carolyn Ee as the Jacka Foundation Senior Research Fellow.

Professor Alan Bensoussan, NICM Director said the newly created position will help increase the integration of well-evidenced complementary medicine into routine health care with formal collaborations with hospitals and health centres. 

"In this new role, Dr Ee will help drive the integrative medicine research program at NICM focusing on clinical services, translational health research, integrative medicine education and training," said Professor Bensoussan.

Dr Ee is a general practitioner with clinical and research expertise in acupuncture for women's health and is the Chair of the RACGP Integrative Medicine Specific Interest.

In January, Dr Ee joined NICM as a Research Fellow having completed a Masters and PhD on acupuncture for menopausal hot flushes from the Department of General Practice, University of Melbourne.
