Description | Women commonly use complementary medicines for common health conditions, such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), menopause and dysmenorrhoea. This RACGP Specific Interest active learning module (ALM) aims to increase GPs confidence in managing menstrual disorders, PCOS and menopause according to the latest best practice recommendations. GPs will receive information to provide women with the best available evidence on efficacy and effectiveness of complementary and integrative therapies to facilitate an informed decision. This workshop will ensure GPs are familiar with potential adverse events relating to commonly used complementary medicines. This ALM is accredited for 40 Category 1 Quality Improvement and Continuing Professional Development points for the 2017–19 triennium. Learning outcomes
