Western Sydney University Commits to UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030
Western Sydney University is pleased to announce it has become a signatory to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
Developed by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network, the initiative commits the University to promoting the principles of sustainable development, undertaking research and providing students with the educational opportunity to become future thinkers and global citizens.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Barney Glover says Western Sydney University is well placed to meet this commitment, and joins a small, innovative group of Australian university signatories.
"To recognise staff and student achievements in this area, I am pleased to announce that the Vice-Chancellor's Excellence in University Engagement and Sustainability Award has been extended to include applications that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030," says Professor Glover.
