December graduation celebrated at Western Sydney University

Western Sydney University's Parramatta South campus will be awash with colour as graduands don cap, gown and colourful hood and make the transition from dedicated student to proud University alumni, as part of December graduation.

The University is hosting its December graduation ceremonies from Tuesday 17 December to Wednesday 18 December 2019.

Over six ceremonies, hundreds of graduands will receive their degrees from across a wide range of disciplines, including nursing and midwifery, medicine, business, law, science and health, computing, engineering and mathematics.

During the ceremonies, a series of honorary awards will be presented by the University. An Honorary Doctor of Laws will be presented to His Honour, Magistrate Imad Abdul-Karim; an Honorary Doctor of Letters will be presented to Christopher Brown AM and Adjunct Professor Carrillo Gantner AC; and Christine Cleary will be presented the title of Community Fellow.

A highlight of each graduation ceremony is the Occasional Address. In December, Western Sydney University graduands and their guests will have the opportunity to hear from a range of distinguished guest speakers.
