Community Award recipient, Brian Lindsay

Brian Lindsay

For more than a decade, Brian Lindsay has made a significant ongoing contribution to the life of the University, both as President and Director of the Hawkesbury Foundation, and as an active member on the Hawkesbury Campus Life Committee.  In his voluntary capacity, Brian went above and beyond on behalf of the University, working with the Federal Government to secure the Confocal Microscope Facility, which resides today with the School of Science and Health. Brian continues to provide a crucial link between the University and the local community through his active engagement with the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, the Mayor’s office and local councils.  His voluntary contribution to UWS has secured numerous community scholarships which continues to benefit the student body financially, providing continuous job opportunities and enabling the provision of short leadership courses.  Without Brian’s enthusiasm, determination and commitment such outcomes would not be possible.
