December graduation celebrated at Western Sydney University

Western Sydney University's Parramatta South campus will be awash with colour as graduands don cap, gown and colourful hood and make the transition from dedicated student to proud University alumni, as part of December graduation.

The University is hosting its December graduation ceremonies from Wednesday 13 December to Thursday 14 December 2017.

Over six ceremonies, more than one thousand graduands will receive their degrees from across a wide range of disciplines, including nursing and midwifery, education,  business, law, medicine, science and health, computing, engineering and mathematics.

During the ceremonies, a series of honorary awards will be presented by the University. Two distinguished community leaders will be presented the title of Community Fellow; a renowned international scholar will be made an Emeritus Professor; and two high profile stalwarts of the Australian entertainment industry, Bryan Brown and Steven McRae, will be presented Honorary Doctorates.

A highlight of each graduation ceremony is the Occasional Address. In December, Western Sydney University graduands and their guests will have the opportunity to hear from a range of distinguished guest speakers.
