Nominations now open for the annual Women of Western Sydney Awards

Western Sydney University is proud to announce nominations are now open for the prestigious Women of Western Sydney Awards 2025.
The Women of Western Sydney Awards honour extraordinary women and formally recognise their contributions to the development of the region across a range of areas, celebrating their significant achievements.
The University encourages members of the Western Sydney community to nominate an extraordinary woman who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, commitment, and service to their community.
The categories for this year’s awards include:
- Woman of Western Sydney (Arts)
- Woman of Western Sydney (Community)
- Woman of Western Sydney (Indigenous Leadership)
- Woman of Western Sydney (Social Enterprise)
- Young Woman of Western Sydney Award (for women aged 18-28).
- Jennifer Westacott AO Woman of Western Sydney Award – recognising the significant lifetime contributions of women in leadership and the Greater Western Sydney business sector, in honour of Western Sydney University’s Chancellor.
There are also two new awards for this year: Woman of Western Sydney (Sport) and Woman of Western Sydney (STEM)
Nominations for this year’s awards close at 11.59pm on Sunday, 9 February 2025 and the winners will be announced at Western Sydney University’s International Women’s Day Celebration, where the University will salute these incredible women for their strength, diversity and contribution to the region.
