Western Sydney University welcomes plan to return international students to Australia
Western Sydney University and other universities have been working closely and constructively with Study NSW, the state and federal governments for over 12 months to facilitate the safe return of international students to Australia and to our local communities.
We welcome the announcement today of the NSW Government’s submission of this plan to the Australian Government for review. This is a critical first step to return students to Australia, with safety and public health paramount.
International students are an important part of our Western Sydney University community. They enrich our learning and teaching environments and bring diversity of thought, knowledge and cultural exchange.
We look forward to having as many of our students back in Australia as soon as practicably possible.
