Vale David Cameron Hazlett
Western Sydney University is deeply saddened by the passing of David Cameron Hazlett.
David contributed to the University in so many ways including as a member of the Foundation Council since 2018 and as major donor supporting undergraduate and post-graduate scholarships. In 2008, David attended the inaugural fundraising dinner that helped to establish the University’s School of Medicine. As a regular sponsor of our Town & Gown gala dinners, David was a strong advocate for Western across his business and community networks.
David’s leadership through philanthropy at Western Sydney University will have significant impact, changing lives by providing access to education for the people of Macarthur.
“David was highly regarded within the Western Sydney University community and an outstanding supporter of the University. He directly and significantly contributed to the success of many of our students. His vigour, enthusiasm and great impact will be missed, but always remembered” said Vice-Chancellor and President of Western Sydney University, Professor Barney Glover AO.
Always quick with a smile and demonstrating enormous generosity of spirit, David will be very much missed by his friends and colleagues at Western Sydney University.
