This degree satisfies the accreditation requirements of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia, and New Zealand (CAANZ) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) for entry into their respective programs. Completion of this degree will allow students to claim several exemptions from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in obtaining the CIMA Professional Qualification.
On successful completion of the Financial Planning and Taxation specialisation, the Bachelor of Accounting satisfies the eligibility requirements for Financial Planner AFP membership and educational requirements for entry into the CFP Certification Program of FPA.
As an International Business graduate, you will have the skills and expertise needed to take your career around the globe. Graduates will be suited to a wide variety of roles in business management, public service, multinational companies and their subsidiaries, strategy and development, trade organisations or education and research organisations.
Graduates find career employment at all levels of government, as well as within the private sector for both commercial and non-commercial organisations. Positions include project management of facilities and events, management and coordination of leisure, sport and civic event departments, sport marketing, player management and sport public relations, elite sport development, sport, and leisure programming.
Graduates of this degree can look forward to career opportunities as a valuer, developer, fund manager, investment analyst, property researcher, investment banker, corporate real estate agent, financial consultant and work in property sales and retail property management.
The Applied Finance major fulfils the educational requirements for admission as an Associate (A Fin) of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA) provided the applicant is at least working in the financial services industry.
