Dividing Decimals by Powers of Ten
When you divide a decimal number by 10, the result is a number which is ten times smaller.
Similary when you divide by 100, the result is one hundred times smaller than the original number.
Examples
- $60\div 10 = 6$
- $62.5\div 100 = 0.625$
