MESH Maths and Stats Help ONLINE

The MESH team will be providing maths and stats help ONLINE during the Summer 2021 session. No face-to-face assistance will be offered. Just bring the (non-assessment) questions you are struggling with or lecture/tutorial notes to the relevant Zoom room (see below) and a MESH tutor will be there to assist you. This is a drop-in service meaning that you don’t need to book an appointment, just make yourself known to the tutor in Zoom.

MESH tutors will be available on the indicated days. Times may change due unforeseen circumstances.

Improve Your Maths Site - vUWS

Student in Library

Access the Improve Your Maths Site at any time via vUWS. Many students have areas of maths and statistics in need of development. This site can assist you to identify these areas and then develop your understanding. It is particularly helpful for gaining the assumed knowledge of first year maths and statistics subjects (algebra, number plane, functions, pythagoras, trigonometry, calculus, statistics, probability, numeracy, calculators, and more).

Access the Improve Your Maths vUWS Site (student log-in required).

I Don't Get It

Do you ever get halfway through a maths or stats related problem in the middle of the night and have a mental block about the next step? Wish you could ask someone about it before you forget where you up to?

Introducing "I Don't Get It", an online maths and stats help forum. Post your maths or stats related problem (along with some details of where you've gotten with it) as a new Post in the forum and a member of the MESH team or one of your fellow students can help with the next steps. If you feel shy about asking questions, you can post anonymously to other students. To sign up or sign in to I Don't Get It go to this page.
