Topic: Preparing your CV and writing a cover letter for HDRs and ECRs
Speaker: Leone Cripps
This one-hour professional development session is designed to support school based members of MARCS HDRs and ECRs to create a well presented, succinct Curriculum Vitae summary document and cover letter reflecting their ‘transferable' skills, experience, capabilities and achievements.
Leone Cripps has been providing academic careers & development support for over 14 years at Western. Prior to the University, she worked across the tertiary education sector, public, local government, community-based and corporate sectors. Within her University portfolio is responsibility for staff leadership development, a variety of mentoring initiatives as well as career development for professional staff. Leone has post-graduate qualifications in Social Ecology from Western as well as certifications in Academic Leadership and Government (Management). She is an accredited facilitator of the DiSC behavioural styles profile tool.
MARCS staff and students are reminded that all meetings and workshops have an important role in building and maintaining the sense of community which is central to the success of MARCS as a cooperative and energetic research institute.
