Yuanyuan Zhang

Research Program: Brain Sciences - Speech and Language

Yuanyuan Zhang is a PhD candidate in linguistics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She is currently a visiting doctoral student at the MARCS Institute, Western Sydney University. Her research focuses on prosodic aspects of speech production and comprehension. Her interests lie in the role of prosody in L2 speech comprehension: how and when L2 learners integrate prosodic information with other types of linguistic information during speech comprehension.

Purpose of Visit

As a visiting doctoral student funded by the China Scholarship Council, Yuanyuan Zhang is currently working with Professor Anne Cutler, investigating the time course when prosodic information is integrated during L2 speech comprehension.
