Research Program: Music Cognition and Action
The Pragmatic Nature of Creativity: Exploring the Choreographic Process and the Structuring Stage.
Maya's research is a hybrid between dance and cognitive psychology.
She is currently exploring two possible subjects. One relates to decision making during the choreographic process. The other one relates to 'Gaga', the movement language of Ohad Nahrin, a worldwide, known choreographer.
Qualifications and Honours
- 2013 - M.Mus (Masters in Music) granted by the Rubin Academy of Dance and Music and Hebrew University, Jerusalem.
- Completion of course work in dance and education and a research paper (30,000 words). Research examining the relationships between dancers and musicians during live performance - in which all performers produce sounds and move.
- 2005 - Bachelor in Dance granted by the Performance and Teaching Major Rubin Academy of Dance and Music, Jerusalem.
- 2005 - Teaching Certificate awarded by the Israeli Ministry of Education.
