Please join us for the MARCS Research Impact Competition heat where four MARCS contestants will deliver a 5-minute presentation portraying the impact or potential impact of their research. The winner will receive $2500 research funding and the runner up $1000.


The Research Impact Competition (RIC) is a flagship event which aims to celebrate and showcase research excellence from across all WSU research themes. The Competition provides an opportunity for researchers to consider their research in terms of current and future impact, challenging researchers to effectively explain their projects to a non-specialist audience in 5-minutes.

The winner of the MARCS RIC heat will go forward to the prestigious WSU Research Impact Competition Final held in Research Week on 26th October 2021.

Please come and join us and cast your people’s choice vote via mentimeter on the day!
