PROGRAM

11am- 12pm

The 3 Minute Thesis Competition (3MT) is coming soon with the MARCS Institute Qualifying Round to be held on Tuesday July 6 from 11am-12pm during the MRM time.

What is 3MT?

Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is an international competition where HDR candidates have the opportunity to present their research thesis to a general audience in three minutes using just one slide. You can check out some of last year’s entries here to give you an idea about how it works: https://bit.ly/2XCDz8L

What does it involve?

This year we will be asking HDR candidates to prepare a verbal 3-minute presentation about their research accompanied by 1 static power point slide.  HDR candidates will participate in the MARCS Institute Qualifying Round, and the winner will represent MARCS at the Western Sydney University 3MT Competition. Winners from University level competitions have the chance to then compete nationally and internationally.
