Topic: Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) Overview, Australian and New Zealand Standard Research Classification (ANZSRC), Field of Research (FoR) Codes. Speaker: Gary Long. Research quality/Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA), Australia’s national research evaluation framework/benchmarking seminar presented by Gary Long. Gary will also discuss the new Australian and New Zealand Standard Research Classification (ANZSRC) codes, specifically the new Fields of Research (FOR) and Socio-economic Objective (SEO) codes and conversion implications for your track record and publications. Gary Long is the Research Systems Manager in WSU’s Research Services Division. He is responsible for the ongoing management of the current, custom-built Research Management System and has developed the Researcher Portal. https://research-report.westernsydney.edu.au/wpubs/Portal.asp Gary has managed the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) 2018, 2015, 2012 and 2010 submissions. He has been seconded to the ARC on two occasions to provide expert advice on ERA. In 2018, he received a VC Excellence Award for Excellence in Professional Service – Team (Highly Commended).
