Professor Kevin Bell came to Western Sydney University in 2016 with the goal of developing a best-in-class institutional portfolio of effective practices with a focus on use of emerging pedagogies and technologies. He comes to Western Sydney via his birthplace and undergraduate experience in the UK, time in Japan where he taught and developed curricula for intercultural / language trainings and latterly from the United States. Professor Bell completed his doctoral work at The University of Pennsylvania, has won a number of national awards and served as Primary Investigator and Research Fellow for privately and federally funded research initiatives. The focus of most of his recent work has been on means of engaging and motivating students, particularly those from less privileged backgrounds.
