Student Feedback on Unit and Student Feedback on Teaching Review Working Party

In 2014, the University made the significant decision to transfer Student Feedback on Units (SFU) surveys from paper-based to online delivery. As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, the next step is for the Working Party to refine the SFU and Student Feedback on Teaching (SFT) questionnaires, possibly into a single instrument, and to increase students' completion rates. These surveys are run by the Office of Quality and Performance (opens in a new window).

Student Feedback on Units (SFU)

The Student Feedback on Units (SFU) is an online survey providing students the opportunity to give feedback on individual units they undertake. This feedback is the key to helping us improve units of study. The survey results are used to revise unit content and design, learning guides, teaching methods, assessment processes and teaching materials.

Student Feedback on Teaching (SFT)

The purpose of the Student Feedback on Teaching (SFT) Survey is primarily to assist individual teaching staff with reflecting on their own teaching and targeting areas for development and improvement. The survey continues to represent a key source of information in teaching evaluation processes, which are amongst the obligations of academic staff mandated in the Western Sydney Enterprise Agreement and comprising an essential element in their own performance and career development.
