Given the accelerating pace in which globalisation is growing it is vital for individuals to understand and draw wisdom from different cultures to gain new perspectives. This subject offers the opportunity to understand the nuances of cultural diversity. It allows the examination of different cultures through the application of cultural value theories.

The unit also explores different levels of culture that gives us a better understanding of why people and societies behave the way they do. The C-Pod is focused on the application of cross-cultural knowledge in the workplace such as communicating and negotiating with stakeholders from the diverse cultural background.

An elevated understanding of self, as well as others, alleviates cultural noise that may inhibit effective cross-cultural communication, which is an essential aspect of the current global business environment.

This Curiosity Pod will give you a chance to:

• Apply cultural frameworks to analyse cultural values and beliefs.
• Critically reflect on and articulate personal cultural values and beliefs.
• Apply knowledge of cultural values and beliefs in a global business environment.
