Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research and Innovation

Professor Ian Anderson is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research and Innovation.

Professor Anderson has led the Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment (HIE) as its inaugural director since it was established in 2011.

Under his leadership HIE rapidly secured its reputation for research excellence. It is now recognised as one of the world’s leading research institutes for terrestrial ecology and climate change sciences.

In his capacity as Director of the National Vegetable Protected Cropping Centre, Professor Anderson has also championed research, education and partnership outcomes for the Australian Horticulture sector.
