Scholarships

We offer one of Australia's most generous scholarship programs supporting international students, particularly those from developing countries, to pursue overseas study. All applicants for our coursework programs are automatically considered. Successful scholarship recipients will receive notification of their awards in their Offer of Admission letter.

Scholarships valued up to 50% of tuition fees.

When you apply for a coursework program with Western Sydney University you will automatically be considered for an international scholarship. A separate application is not necessary.

Undergraduate

Western Sydney University has a range of scholarships available for international students seeking admission to undergraduate programs.

Scholarships valued at $6,000, $3,000 or 50% of tuition fees are awarded on academic merit.

Vice-Chancellor's Academic Excellence Undergraduate Scholarships

This Scholarship recognises outstanding academic achievements and will cover 50% of the cost of tuition fees for three years. Applications are not necessary and successful students will be notified in the Offer of Admission letter.
 


Western Sydney International Scholarships - Undergraduate

This scholarship was introduced to provide our Undergraduate international students a smooth start to university. We offer a $6000 multi-year or $3000 multi-year partial scholarship to be applied towards tuition fees up to a maximum of three years.
 


Western Sydney University - Malaysian Australian Alumni Council Undergraduate Scholarship

Postgraduate

Western Sydney University has a range of scholarships available for international students seeking admission to postgraduate programs.

Scholarships valued at $6,000, $3,000 or 50% of tuition fees are awarded on academic merit.

Packaged Offers

Western Sydney International EAP Scholarship

This Scholarship is for students with an eligible EAP packaged offer and provides a 20% discount on EAP fees for those commencing in 2024.

Research

External Scholarships

The Australia Awards Scholarship is a prestigious international scholarship funded by the Australian Government that aims to contribute to the long term development needs of Australia's partner countries, in line with bilateral and regional agreements. The scholarship provides students the opportunity to study in Australia to build the skills and knowledge to promote development in their home country/region. Scholarships are mainly at postgraduate level however there is a limited number of undergraduate scholarships (country/region specific).

Scholarship Value
Full tuition fees, return home travel, establishment allowance, contribution to Living Expenses (CLE), Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), Supplementary Academic Support, air tickets for field trip (for research student only).

Application Process
You need to apply directly to the Australia Award managing office in your country/region to be considered for an Australia Award Scholarship. Closing dates vary from country/region to country/region. In most countries, applications fro scholarships close in approximately May of the previous year. For more information, view the Ausaid participating countries page.
